Jianyu JIANG (江健宇)
I am currently a Researcher @ 2012 Theory Lab, Huawei Hong Kong Research Center, working on System security and Distributed system (AI, Databases and Blockchain). I got my PhD from the Computer Science Department at The University of Hong Kong, supervised by Dr. Heming Cui. Prior my PhD, I received my Bachlor’s Degree in Computer Science Department at Xi’an Jiaotong University, under the supervision of Professor Qi Yong.
Research Highlights
My research focuses on building secure systems in the datacenter and at the edge, using hardware-based techniques (e.g., trusted execution environment such as SGX and TrustZone), and software-based mechanism (e.g., information flow tracking, differential privacy and cryptographic tools). I am also interested in building reliable and strongly consistent distributed systems, including fault tolerance systems, distributed transaction processing systems, and blockchain systems. I received an distinguished (best) paper award from ACSAC ’17 on building a distributed dataflow system (i.e., Kakute) for Spark.
